Today, the bike team went over Huckleberry Pass, a 2,000 ft climb to a 6,000 ft elevation on FR 4106. The support crew was able to drive this road. We left about an hour or so after them, and found them just as the rain and wind started.
Here are some short video clips of the day:

Pulled into Lincoln, Mt at about 2:00pm. Staying at the Three Bears Motel which is very nice and clean! The owners, Kevin and Louanne are considerate of bikers. They are even working on building one of their back cabins with a bunkbed setup for hikers and bikers which should be completed sometime soon.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great video. Thanks for keepin' it clean for the family viewers!!! :) I would have been swearin' in that rain!
ReplyDeletePayton really hopes that one of you will be interested in going again in 3 years. He will be 15. He feels that is a perfect age for him to do the ride. All viewing participants agree that Matt is silly wearing "sandals." Hahaha!
